Research on the diplomatic history among Japan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and the Republic of Korea.

 

Research on Germans and Japanese in Wonsan, DPRK, after World War II.

 

 

    Research Interest

      

Research on the history of Japan's normalization with the DPRK and ROK, focusing on cultural property restitution and historical recognition.

Research on the division of the Korean Peninsula, focusing on the collection and repatriation of the remains of communist soldiers during the Korean War, as well as the repatriation and forced mobilization of Japanese and Germans in the DPRK after World War II.
